Every van we sell comes with a warranty, apart from part-exchange vans we’re clearing, which are clearly marked. Here’s what you get and how it works.
Used vans: the van, and the fridge unit
Our used fridge and freezer vans come with two warranties.
The van: what’s left of the maker’s warranty, if it still has some. If not, our 12-month warranty, which can be extended. The advert says which.
The fridge unit: its own warranty, which depends on the make fitted:
| Fridge unit | Warranty |
|---|---|
| GAH | 12 months |
| Hubbard | 12 months |
| Thermo King | 24 months |
| Zanotti | 24 months |
Our engineers check every used van before it leaves us. Not sure which unit a van has? Ask us and we’ll tell you before you buy.
New vans: the manufacturer’s warranty
New vans, whether a cancelled order from stock or built to your spec, come with the van manufacturer’s warranty. The fridge unit has its own warranty too: 12 months on GAH and Hubbard units, 24 months on Thermo King and Zanotti.
Making a claim
Warranty claims on our used vans are handled by a specialist warranty company. You get the details with your van’s paperwork. If you’re not sure what to do, call us on 01444 245555 and we’ll point you the right way.
Part-exchange vans we’re clearing
Now and then we sell on a van we’ve taken in part exchange. These are marked Part-ex to clear on the advert and are sold as seen, with no warranty given or implied.
Looking after your van
Have the van and the fridge unit serviced as their handbooks say, and keep the records. It keeps the van running well, helps if you ever need to claim, and helps when you come to sell. Our guides on common problems with refrigerated vans and a fridge that won’t hold temperature cover the basics.
