A freezer van carries frozen food and ice cream. By law, quick-frozen food must be kept at -18°C or colder; during local deliveries it may rise briefly, but no warmer than -15°C. Our refrigerated vans work anywhere from +21°C down to -25°C, depending on the fridge unit we fit, and a freezer unit can usually run at chilled temperatures too, so one van can do either job (one at a time). Need both at once? A dual-temperature van has a bulkhead between a chilled and a frozen compartment.
We line freezer vans with 75mm insulation (50mm on a chiller). The thicker lining takes up a little more load space and adds weight, which comes off the payload, so we check the payload left after conversion against what you carry before you buy. New freezer vans come with the manufacturer’s warranty: cancelled factory orders ready now, or built to your spec, with electric standby, side door, curtains and partitions. Every fridge unit we fit has a 12 or 24-month warranty, depending on its make. Used freezer vans are already converted and ready to work, and come with a 12 to 24-month warranty.
