The Ford Transit Custom is a medium van and one of the most popular fridge vans in the UK. It’s big enough for a full day’s multi-drop round, but still easy to drive and park in town, which makes it a favourite for food delivery and catering.
It comes in two lengths, the L1 (short wheelbase) and the L2 (long wheelbase), both with a low roof, and in trims such as Trend, Limited and Leader.
Every conversion has a fully insulated load space with a hygienic, easy-to-clean interior, built as a chiller or a freezer. Popular extras include a side loading door, curtains across the doorway, a fixed partition or moveable bulkhead, pallet runners, load lock rails, LED lights, electric standby and a recessed condenser pod.
Ford Transit Customs from 2016 on are Euro 6 diesels, so they’re ULEZ and Clean Air Zone compliant.
