Buying a used freezer van.

Every used freezer van here is one we sell ourselves, converted and checked by our engineers before it leaves us. It comes with a warranty on the van (what’s left of the maker’s, or 12 months, which can be extended), plus 12 or 24 months on the fridge unit, depending on its make (a van marked “Part-ex to clear” is the exception: it is sold as seen, with no warranty, and the advert says so). Below: what to look for on a used freezer van, whoever you buy it from, and the guides that go into more detail.

Freezer or deep freeze?

Our freezer vans hold −10°C, with 75mm of insulation. Deep freeze goes down to −25°C, for ice cream and anything hard-frozen. The advert says which the van is, and you can filter the freezer vans page by it. Any freezer van that isn’t converted yet can be built as a deep freezer instead, with rear pod doors and the side door shut off or a slab side door (optional extras).
