What makes a chiller van?

A chiller van keeps your load between 0 and 5°C, the right range for most fresh food. Need it frozen? That’s a freezer van.

Chiller temperature

0 to 5°C

Our vans run from 0 to 5°C as chillers down to −25°C for deep freeze, depending on the fridge unit fitted.

Freezer vans run at −10°C. Deep freeze goes down to −25°C, and which fridge units we can fit depends on the size of the van, so ask us.

    For meat, dairy, produce, flowers and most catering.

  • 50mm insulation

    A chiller conversion uses 50mm insulation. A freezer uses 75mm.

  • Checked before it leaves

    Our engineers check every van before it leaves. Used vans come with a warranty on the van (what’s left of the maker’s, or 12 months, which can be extended), plus 12 or 24 months on the fridge unit, new vans with the manufacturer’s warranty plus 12 or 24 months on the fridge unit.

Carrying frozen goods? Our freezer vans run at −10°C, and deep freeze goes down to −25°C.

Choosing a large fridge van.

Large vans like the Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Renault Master, Citroën Relay and Maxus Deliver 9 suit bigger and heavier loads, wholesale rounds and longer routes. Our chiller conversions keep the load between 0 and 5°C, with 50mm of insulation and a fridge unit from GAH, Thermo King, Hubbard or Zanotti.

Large models

New or used?

New large vans are cancelled factory orders, or built to your spec with electric standby, a side door, partitions or curtains. Used ones are converted and checked by our engineers before delivery, with a warranty on the van (what’s left of the maker’s, or 12 months, which can be extended), plus 12 or 24 months on the fridge unit.

Finance and delivery

Finance is available for business customers from a £500 +VAT deposit, on hire purchase or lease, subject to status. Part exchange is welcome, and delivery is free anywhere in the UK, Northern Ireland included. Each van’s advert shows when it is ULEZ compliant: a diesel needs to meet Euro 6.
